The Core Foundation for Further IWFS Handgun Training
The IWFS Pistol Practical Operation Standard course develops safe, stable and repeatable pistol-handling capability.
Building on the Pistol Operation Basics course, it strengthens firearm safety, operational procedures, body coordination, accuracy fundamentals and supervised practical application.
This course is the primary foundation for continuing into IWFS practical shooting, competitive shooting and defensive shooting pathways.

The course is conducted at IWFS Tactical Sports Theme Park in Phuket. All classroom instruction, dry-practice procedures and supervised live-fire activities are conducted under IWFS instructor guidance and established range safety requirements.

This course develops the essential safety, operational and technical standards required for continued progression within the IWFS handgun training system.
Review of pistol safety rules
Pistol structure and operating controls
Safe loading and unloading procedures
Correct grip and stance
Range procedures and instructor commands
Safety inspection and firearm-condition checks
Magazine changes and basic malfunction response
Trigger-control fundamentals
Target alignment and controlled firing
Sight alignment and sight picture
Accuracy and grouping development
Body coordination and movement principles
Presentation from the ready position
Recoil management fundamentals

Booking Policy
Course Fee: 30,000 THB
Booking Deposit: 6,000 THB
- The deposit is required to confirm the appointment.
- The deposit can be deducted from the final course payment upon arrival.
- If the booking is cancelled, the deposit is non-refundable.
- Booking changes are subject to availability.
- Please contact IWFS in advance if your schedule changes.
- The appointment will be held for 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time.
IWFS Safety Requirements
- Participants under 20 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- Participants who are under the influence of alcohol, or who consumed a large amount of alcohol the previous day, are not allowed to enter the range.
- Please bring your passport or valid ID.
- All participants must follow IWFS instructor and range safety staff instructions.
- Photography is permitted only when safe and under on-site guidance.
- IWFS may stop any activity immediately if safety requirements are violated.
- Course participation and progression remain subject to instructor assessment.

After completing the Pistol Practical Operation Standard course, students may continue into selected IWFS specialized, competitive or defensive shooting pathways according to their goals, prerequisites and instructor assessment.

An IDPA-focused progression covering safety procedures, competition rules, practical stages and technical development.

A structured direction involving selected pistol, PCC, rifle or shotgun operating platforms.

A prerequisite-based IWFS defensive shooting pathway focused on awareness, controlled response and practical application.
Private Customized Training
Customized training arranged according to participant level, objectives, available time and instructor assessment.
Course entry requirements vary. Completion of this course does not automatically guarantee entry into every pathway.
